As a normal audience, what would I expect is the clarity of the script, the genre of the script, and the screen presence. If you ask me, I will say this film has completely satisfied me with these 3 aspects. This film traveled in its genre. A commercial film with not much of a stuffed social message. If you ask me about the film, without hesitation I can quickly say that it is a must-watch categorized short film. I can say that the director Sugumar got the audience’s attention very well. He found a way to inject the thought into people’s minds. The interesting part is the theme of the film -> FOOD. Who doesn’t love food? The enormous amount of data that this film has given is influencing.

First, we will talk about the character of the protagonist. I’m sure that the film team chose a suitable protagonist for the story. The character design of the protagonist is impressive and at the same time, the acting skills of the actor Doubt Senthil switch to the character very well. The important aspect of a film is how the artist made justice to the character on the script. in that sense actor “Doubt Senthil” made his 100% dedication and justice to the character design. Not just the protagonist, every artist in this film including Nellai Shiva Amirthalingam has done the role very well and in a clear manner. The character design of the tea shop owner will surely bring a smile to everyone’s face. At the same time, the information that is provided during that scene will make the audience think of the present situation of our food culture. Not just the tea shop scene but throughout the film, the information and the core content that the film wanted to convey is very clear and it will surely make us realize what situation our food culture is in.
Another important and attractive aspect of this film is the songs. Kadaisi Echarikkai Tamil Short Film had 2 songs and one is an introductory song and another one is somewhere near the climax. the beauty of this song within the lyric and the merge of the music. The attractive part of this song is the title of the Kadaisi Echarikkai Tamil Short Film. The word “Kadaisi Echarikai” placed a healthy emphasis on the introductory song and without an awkward tone. That is an impressive aspect of this film. The lyrics and the songs lifted the movie to its next level. The background scores, the music arrangements, and the sound effects are very attractive and pleasant to hear. Congratulations to the music director A.I.S. Nawfal Raja for composing such beautiful songs and for the singers. They have done a very beautiful job. As you can see the director of the film Sugumar Ganesan is the one who wrote the lyrics for this song and it came out very well. We should congratulate A.M. Rahgmathulla for sound mix and mastering. Also, we have to say about Sethu‘s sound effects
Next, we can speak about cinematography. I was wondering how the cinematographer found the perfect angle and lighting for each shot. cinematographer Chandra Seker had done extraordinary work throughout the film. The frame does not disappoint me and the lighting for each shot is perfect. The sense of the cinematographer is that lighting should not be overdone, and the frame should not show extra elements in a scene. in this film Nowhere I can see a frame with disturbing angles. The lighting was very perfect and suitable. The art director Mariyappan did his task at its best. The final climax scene and the final frame with the evening light were attractive. The color choice of the evening light is very clever and the angle which the cinematographer chose was appreciable and admiring too. The film travels with a day color at its majority and the night color dominates and explains the severity of the core content.
Not just lighting the perfect cut of the Kadaisi Echarikkai Tamil Short Film is a very important aspect to be noticed. Editors have done the rule very well. The cuts are perfect and looked like a feature film’s cuts. Deepak, Vijay Shanker, Kotti, have done their job at their best. Though. the film has the content as its foundation, I felt like the creativity in editing is a bit missed. I cannot deny that editors have done a beautiful job for the perfection of this film but still, I feel like something is needed to show that editors have given their part in this film. it may be the editor’s or the director’s restriction to use creativity on the screen.
Throughout the film, I wasn’t bored to skip or pause the Kadaisi Echarikkai Tamil Short Film. I think that is the success of the script. Because the screenplay was perfectly designed, and it was shot well. I need to appreciate the direction crew for making so much research in this script and bringing it out. The script without insisting on a social message in its dialogues made the audience realize. I like the idea that in every scene the script keeps on insisting the protagonist about the danger in food that we consume. This idea was very clever with this commercial kind of film. We have seen “idharkkudhana aasapattai balakumara” film. I felt the same format in this film that nowhere the film said “drinking is injurious to health” but it made us realize something about the drinking and health hazards and social hazards. Likewise, this film had communicated the same message through the protagonist’s character.
The scene where the protagonist takes a drumstick and cracks a joke was nice. But after that in each vegetable and fruit, the idea of overlaying aiya Nammazhvar’s interview videos was a great idea. The information that Aiya Nammazhvar gave is not a joke, but the truth behind politics is very important for our living. People who know Aiya Nammazhvar will be happy to see his presence on the screen. The idea of overlaying the effect on the vegetables and fruits is good. After that, the concept of rice bouncing was also very interesting, but the dialogue in that scene was not clear enough to understand why the protagonist wants to throw the rice on the wall. Another visible critic that I wanted to convey was that during the climax, the dubbing was a bit lagged. Throughout the film, I was satisfied with the dubbing mix except for that part.
If we look into the exact scenario of this film, it will convey two major things. Both are related to awareness. Firstly, we are not enough aware of what we are consuming and the food we consume is whether safe or not. Secondly, if we are so aware of what we eat will sure spoil our peace to consume food like the character of the protagonist. This is to be viewed from the perspective where we should be aware and at the same time, we should take some action to consume good food. In the climax, the protagonist throws the phone in the pond. That symbolizes that he doesn’t want to hear any more about how the food is produced because he was already starving throughout the day.
So, the core content of the film conveys to us that the food we consume is not the natural food that we should eat, rather we are eating poison. But we can stop this and can produce natural and healthy food. For that, we should take any step to solve this food issue. The director was very clear in how to end the film. He doesn’t want to give a conclusion or solution to solve this issue, rather the film will make us think to solve this issue. This is what I think the success of the film and the film with the help of the title warned us that this is the final warning for our future.
