Core content: The story of this film is that one of the freedom fighters who went into a coma will wake up from coma after 75 years, and he sees all the change over in the country and questions whether India got freedom from the British? Because all the products, sports, culture, dressing and products that we are using are more British dominant and by seeing few things like yoga adopted by the other countries and realising that India got freedom.
Appreciation and Critic:
The first thing that attracted me is at the start of the film the freedom fighter woke up from the coma and got to know that his hospital bill was ₹3.25 crores only and the he says immediately tells that my salary is not even ₹325/- how can he pay that 3.25 CR of bill. Then the doctor says that we have got freedom and we are groaning in all standards and our economy is 4th largest economy in the world. After that he takes the patient out and shows how India is developed.
The second thing that I like in this film is the way that coma patient who woke from coma and sees the changes that occurred in the country after the freedom in these 75 years. And the way he reacted to the changes and still how we are using British products and culture of dressing and language and other things. He questions that we really got the freedom from British? Because we are following British judicial system and British products and British sports like cricket. This makes it more interesting that at the end how he will realise that India has got freedom?
What I really like about this film is that the film is too short but it’s impactful. It’s really in our country mostly we are using British company products, English dominating other languages, we have adopted their dressing styles and we are completely mixed with their culture. Now everywhere in any name board we can see English in common with the regional languages. This shows how we are dominated by British or foreign culture.
The thing I don’t like in this movie is that the film is too short and the director has missed to show in some reality that the person is in come for 75 years then he must look older but he is looking younger than the doctor, That thing I didn’t like.
Let us now discuss the acting of the actor’s in the film, as we can see only a few characters only in this film. In that we can see only 2 characters completely till the end of this film. They have tried their best to give in the film. But their acting is not up to the mark and their reactions are not at their best. If they would have increased their naturally in makeup of the coma patient it could have been better. Acting of the characters is average.
Now let’s talk about the music and editing of the film. The background music is good. There is not a lot of music in the background but its good. When it comes to the editing part the voice of the characters are very low and dominated by the traffic sound. If they would have used dubbing while editing the film would have come out with a better output. Few shots of the film are also in low quality, for example the yoga shots and a few others also.
Let’s now discuss the direction and the story of the film. The director has given his best. He showed what’s really happening in India after freedom. Really we have got the freedom but still this India is in control of the businessman and we are using the products which are made by the British company mostly. I really appreciate the dare of the director and a salute to the idea of the film. He has really shown that we are not observing the dominance of the British which is still on us. The dialogue and the direction is good. The creativity and showing reality is too good.
The moral of the story is to realise the facts and see how we are dominated by the British and their culture and also their lifestyle that we have adopted. But don’t forget your roots, where you came from and what your Ancestors and their culture.
