Core content: You will be seeing lot of Hindi award winning short films. But, The story of this film is that A couple who always aims to be a performer, tries their level best to reach the aimed destination. Whether he reaches against all the odds is the story.

Appreciation and Critic:

The first thing that attracted me is the cartoon graphics that they have used. In this entire film they have used this cartoon graphics as the crowd and background also. But at the same time they have used black-and-white filters also in the film to make viewer’s to get some realistic visuals to get in sync with the original characters, but somehow it has worked a bit I say. When we are seeing the film we can clearly understand the cartoon graphics used. I don’t want to talk more about the cartoon graphics they have used as it’s boring.

The second thing that I like in this film is that the film is in a retro theme and it’s on stage. Nowadays there are few stage drama’s are going on but that also very rarely. As the film industry has grown and theaters everywhere. The audience has also changed a lot and they are not showing interest in watching stage shows. In this film the passion of a person who wanted to become a stage artist is really good. At any cost of his health issues and financial issues he didn’t care and was very passionate to become an artist like his role model and he watches every show of this idol. At that time the films were growing rapidly and stage dramas were reducing so the audience, at that time also he tried.

I have really like in this film is that climax part. In the pre climax, Madhav asks to give a chance to our actor but the producer refuses as the stage shows are dying at that time and revenue is also reducing. The actor gets upset and goes and meets with an accident, by hearing this news our hero gets a heart stroke for the 3rd time and during his death he donates his organs. The twist is that the stage artists get our hero’s organs (eyes) this way the eyes or our hero watches the audience applause of the audience for this performance and that’s how he gets his dream come true.

The thing I don’t like in this movie is that the entire film is in black and white theme.

Let us now discuss the acting of the actor’s in the film, all the actors have given their best. Acting is up to the mark and they have acted really well. Their expressions are good. But in this film the character’s body language and expression are just like the acting that we have seen in 80’s acting. I personally don’t like much of that kind of body language and expressions. Totally it’s acting and dance is good.

Now let’s talk about the music and editing of the film, to be frank in this film there is no own composition of music and they have used the music from the films. They have used multiple songs and music buts as the background score. The songs they have used for stage drama is okay, but for other scenes they have used that’s not good. Editing is good and dubbing is also good. I personally disliked that cartoon graphics using a lot and the entire film is black-and-white mode. I really appreciate the selection of songs as music according to the situations and scenes.

Let’s now discuss the direction and the story of this hindi award winning short films – ABHIVRDH. The director has given his best. Direction and the screenplay is up to the mark, the scenes and the dialogue are also good. I should say that the drama scenes are really excellent. The story selection and the retro theme is really good. I should say choosing cartoon graphics and black-and-white themes with it is really daring and bold. If he would have presented the film in color with that cartoon graphics would have not been good and would not be matched with real characters so it would have not looked good. Watching the graphics in the short film really kept me happy.

The moral of the story is that if you really love and are passionate towards your goals, then you can succeed after your death also, as your ideology and passion lives on.

If you ask me to give ratings,

  • For Direction – I would like to give 10/10
  • For Script – I would like to give 9/10
  • For Screenplay – I would like to give 10/10
