Toofaan: Farhan Akhter has revealed the teaser of his most awaited upcoming movie “TOOFAAN” on Friday 12 March, which is a sports drama film directed By Rakesh Omprakash Mehra, who has also directed Bhaag Milka Bhaag(2013) and Delhi-6 (2009). The movie is also starring Paresh Rawal and Mrunal Thakur in supporting roles. The film will stream on 21st May 2021 on Amazon Prime Video.
Farhan Akhtar plays the role of a national level boxer Aziz Ali Boxer, the teaser shows us a glimpse of Aziz Ali Boxer’s past life, as a goon of Dongri, known as Ajju Bhai.
The teaser gave us a glimpse of the life of the boxer and how his life changes from being a street goon to a National Boxer. The film also featured Paresh Rawal as Aziz Ali’s coach which is one more reason to watch the movie. The teaser shows how with the help of his girlfriend, he decides to become a boxer, and how the couch supports him to become a National level Boxer. The film consists of so much more than just a sports drama, it has romance, motivation and so much more. I had to watch the teaser for 4 times before writing the review and still can’t get enough of it.
Farhan Akhtar’s last Sports Drama was Bhaag Milka Bhaag, which was a biopic of Indian Athlete Milkha Singh, who was a Commonwealth Champion and an Olympian, the film was a massive hit. Farhan’s last film was The sky is pink alongside Priyanka Chopra. Farhan Akhtar has always surprised fans with his different types of roles, and “Toofaan” isn’t any different.
During the teaser launch, Farhan told the media that the first punching bag he ever hit was at Salman Khan’s home. It’s hard to believe that Farhan isn’t a natural Boxer while watching the Teaser, not for a second I thought that he was only playing a boxer and not a real one. That’s a reason why people cherish his films.
While unveiling the teaser on Twitter Farhan wrote, “It fills me with immense joy to give you the first glimpse of a film into which we poured all our love, passion, exuberance, madness even. It truly is a labor of love and today I’m so excited to share it with you. Here’s presenting the ToofanTeaser” such heartfelt message Farhan has delivered to his fans.
My review for “toofaan” is a must-watch film, because of its strong star-cast, watching Farhan in a sports drama again will be a great experience. But moreover, I feel the movie storyline isn’t that remarkable, as there is already a film on the boxer’s life. Although I will suggest watching it at least once because no one wants to miss a great acting performance and a magnificent star cast. The film also starred actor Paresh Rawal, which makes this a must-watch.
I’ll give this film teaser a strong 7.5 rating, for its performance, storyline, and direction. The movie will be released on the OTT platform Amazon on 21st May.
