Aarvi Malhotra, a well-known singer, is killed in the opening scene of Ek Villain Returns by a masked burglar who broke into an apartment building. Following their investigation, the police conclude that Gautam Mehra, Aarvi’s ex-lover, is the murderer. Mumbai has had another serial killer after 8 years of Rakesh Mahadkar’s terror reign. more vicious and perilous, yet still concealable with the Smiley Mask. The narrative of two guys in one-sided love is told in Ek Villain Returns. Who is the hero and who is the villain depends on the pathways they take to finish their love stories.
