Understanding the core: Result of playing online gambling games.

I need to appreciate the team for making a firm with present news and congrats for making the plot of the film clear. Though the film has few flaws, the plot and the story is quite interesting and impressive. We can see the film is shot on a low-quality camera or phone, but the team succeeded in making the film good.

Online Game Results short film starts with the frame two boys are there and one is reading the newspaper and the person showing the other about a piece of news. After that, the film is showing someone’s flashback. So he is the protagonist. The character of the protagonist is a person who is an addict to mobile games. Especially PUBG & Free Fire-type. The film is showing the protagonist playing PUBG.

Online Game Results short film completely looks like an amateur film making but the way the team made this movie was interesting and appreciable. From the first frame to the last frame I am not that much satisfied with the dubbing and the frames and angles. The film looks like it didn’t work on DI. But that’s ok. It seems like this is a low budget for which cannot afford to make it a technically good film. I felt the background sound of the PUBG game was very high and I cannot bear the sound. So the movie Team should focus on the sounds and range of sounds and its elements. If we are showing a sound that has a high range we have to reduce the sound while doing sound mixing which does not harm the ears of the audience. Similarly, I felt that the layers in the sounds were not mature enough maturely handled. If you see a feature film the sounds and their layers are very unique and it won’t make you feel awkward while listening to sound effects. Similarly, many short films are practicing the same. Sound effects are the major element on the screen.

The next scene is the protagonist calling his friend and asking him to recharge because he needs to invest that money in the game. This part is very realistic and appreciable because we can see a lot of news related to online gambling. Even the children can invest money in games and are stuck in problems. So the idea of getting this scene is interesting. Technically speaking the dubbing is not enough to attract the audience. As we can see in the next scene where the protagonist is going to meet his friends and there the dubbing and the voice-over are not in sync. The screen and the dubbing are having some lag. The team has to focus on dubbing and mixing because it is the major element in movie making we cannot compromise in dubbing and dialogues.

Similarly, when we write the screen it should match with the dialogues. In so many areas, the dialogues and the screenwriting are not intersecting. For example, in the scene, where the protagonist lost 10 lakhs of money on an online game and was thinking about how to solve this issue. The protagonist keeps on repeating the word “aiyaiyo” more than 20 times within a minute.

The team should realize that more dialogues are not the key to make a film detailing. If you see most of the Mysskin film, there will be no dialogues at all but the screen conveys you to the scenario. Dialogues are a major element but not an important element. A movie can be made without dialogues also. In the process of making the film more effective, we should not spoil it. That particular scene alone made me skip the scene. The movie should not make the audience skip or jump to another scene. And I’m not convinced with the dialogue where the protagonist says that suicide is the only way. In the script is the protagonist is committing suicide. That is convincing. But the dialogue conveyed is not appropriate. It is like ok without any thinking and without any difficulties the protagonist from delivering the word “aiyaiyo” straight to suicide is the only solution. It shouldn’t be like this because when a kid is watching this movie and is also experiencing this problem, there may be chances for that kit to make such a decision without thinking of any other ideas. So how it could be done means the protagonist things in various ways to solve the issue and finally e sound no way to resolve the issue and commit suicide. If the film had been done in this way I would have been happy.

In the next scene, where the news was going to their friends by phone call. There, I feel the way it was done was still not enough to attract the audience. Because this scene is very emotional and I don’t feel any emotional moments when I see the frames. So that sin could have done better.

Speaking about the artists, everyone did their role very well and particularly in the scene where everyone gathers on a bridge and discusses and plays the game. The slang and the dialogues delivered are very unique and realistic. That should be appreciated. From watching the film we can say that they are first-time actors and not practicing acting. But that’s ok. This film had a great screenplay and the screenplay was its strength.

If you ask me to give any suggestions to the team, I would say that call writers in your team and sit along with the director, discuss the screenplay and dialogues along with the writers, and write every scene element and article which are going to be used in the film. Without proper writing, this scene cannot be excelled. This film is not well written in screenwriting. So the ultimate responsibility of a director and writers’ team was to bind a perfect screenplay and screenwriting along with elements to make the fill even better. Always ask suggestions and critics to others.

A few things are I need to appreciate in this film that camera angles and frames are good and sound effects are very neat. Congrats to the team for making this film. It is just a set ahead from dreaming. Kudos to the crew and all the technicians.
