First of all, congratulations to the team for making this short film. First Date Telugu Short Film was so nice and lovely to watch. Every aspect of the film is attractive. From the beginning, the frames, color, angels, script, direction, screenplay, and screen presence everything is so admirable. Let me talk about each and everything in this film.
The first scene is showing some mature woman with a simple cotton saree is getting ready somewhere. The saree is like a normal saree where most housewives wear. The frames focused on her eyeliner and the lipstick. Here it gave us an idea about the protagonist. It may or may not be the protagonist. But the film carried it very easy to show the age and the acting of the lady showed that she is very much interested in wearing a sleeveless kurta. To be particular, the acting of the protagonist is very impressive, and every frame was admirable. After she got ready, she is trying to escape from her daughter. Without getting noticed, she crossed her daughter’s room; however, her daughter sensed and asked where she was going. The protagonist lied that she was going to the temple. So we can get an idea of something that she is going to do beyond her age. Then the next scene we can see someone getting out of the car and looked much tensed. When the cab driver asked for the money, he threw the money at him and even refused to get the change. That much he was tensed. He was entering the restaurant. He seems a bit confused. Even his acting was very admirable throughout the film. No-where it felt awkward. There comes the protagonist. So now the plot starts. Both came for a date.
The ambiance of that restaurant, the lights, focus, and the color of the film felt very pleasing and relaxed. I need to do a special mention for the person who wrote the dialogues. They are very lively and realistic. The dialogue delivery also looked very clean. The dialogues very well co-operated with the script and the screenplay.

At the same time, dubbing was very clear and crisp. I can even hear the breath sound of those people on the screen. That much there was a screen presence. The sound mix was very attractive. Eliminated all the background noise and added every sound on the screen. While watching the movie itself we can sense that Foley was used. Because the glass sound, stick sound, cash rubbing, and dupatta sounds are included and can hearable. No way can we hear these sounds in live recording and only Foley artist will make this happen. These Foley sounds made this film even more realistic and enjoyable. Dubbing and sound mix made justice to the script.
Apart from the screen, the script has a perfect core for dating couples. On one hand, a male is a person who doesn’t try new things, and here the protagonist female is a person who always wants to try new things. So the dating couples are two opposite pole characters. One thing I have to appreciate is the idea of presenting a story of two mature people dating. The female protagonist even had a daughter, but still wants to date.
A male is an unmarried person. The idea of age is just a number is the core, but the clear thoughts on relationship, love, and life partner. Everyone needs to know what exactly a life partner is. First Date Telugu Short Film explains that getting married and being with a person is not a choice. It is not a rule. Even the woman says she was very happy with her husband and her daughter. But before that, she also told him that she missed her youth life. She wants to fall in love with someone. She wants to be in a relationship. She wants to enjoy her youth life. But everything vanished as she was engaged while she was pursuing M.Tech. Everyone needs a partner till our life’s journey is the core of this script.
The funny element of those protagonists speaking to the audience was attractive and unique in this film. Also the choice of food they chose. It was very unique for this script. The way the protagonist trying to pick the Shushi with the chopsticks is very natural.
The main vital ideology that this film conveyed is that, the bond between the daughter and the mother. When the protagonist gets caught by her daughter in that restaurant, she was hiding at the bill counter. The daughter accepts her mother’s decision. Whatever it may be, if it brings joy to her mother, then she is ready to accept it. This kind of bond will exist in the upcoming generation. Through this film or this kind of film, the generation gap will reduce and the mind will be broadened. Thus it pays away for another revolution in understanding a relationship.
The final fun element was very impressive. The daughter asked where you find this guy. The mother replied that she found him on tinder. That element is very funny and a nail-point scene.
In conclusion, this film is another great philosophical movie that can push our generation to a great understanding. Congratulations to the team for making such a good film. If you ask me to give a rating,
