About Woh Khaas Hindi Short Film:

Understanding the core content: How love influences a person’s life and what impact can it leave.

Woh Khaas Hindi Short Film Appreciation and Critic:

A big congrats to the crew and the director of Woh Khaas Hindi Short Film for making a film which can leave a trace after watching. Making a film with this ability is quite interesting and I loved the movie after watching it. Congrats to the director Ankit Bhardwaj for making this film and leaving a trace within me.

Congrats to producer Richa Singh for producing a good script and the film has come out very well from the side of production. It seems like the producer compromised nowhere on the production side. Each aspect and the elements used in this film felt satisfied. In some films, we may feel that there would be a shortage of funds or the producer is not capable of including a few elements in this film. But in this film, every element played its role. The script fulfilled its screen presence. This was possible because of the producer’s ability to organize for this film. Also, congrats to the Executive producer Anupam Singh for executing a perfect script.

This film caught my attention, particularly in a few areas. Among them, the art direction and DOP were very interesting. The DOP and the art direction played a major role in this film if I’m not wrong. Every place they shot was very attractive and it was very pleasant to watch it on the screen. Not only the DOP and DI, but the places on the frames are also very attractive in the sense it relates to the story and the audience. The director himself, the dop and the cinematographer, the frame had come out very well.

Another interesting element in this film is the sound. when I hear the first shot, I can hear the ambient sound through my ears. I wanted to make this note because most of the short filmmakers will miss to include the ambient sound and they fill it with background music, but this film had its own ambiance sound also the mix was outstanding. Congratulations to Abhishek Raj for the outstanding sound mix. But there are few things that I must tell in the “Dubbing part”. When I hear the dialogues in the mother tongue of the hero and heroine there is nothing to note down and right anything on that. but when the female protagonist speaks in English it sounds a little artificial and out of their box. I felt that the director or the assistant director could have more concentrated on English dialogue deliveries during dubbing. Whenever the protagonist speaks in English, I can hear the Husky voice from them. and that asking voice is a little disturbing and makes me feel a bit uneasy to hear the dialogue. The dialogue delivery felt a little artificial and did not exactly match the emotions on the screen. I don’t say it was the sound mixer’s responsibility or mistake but the director or the assistant director could have noticed it. The dialogues are outstanding and sure it will leave an impact on an ordinary person’s life. The questions that the artist asked and the answers they share are very interesting and admiring too.

I love the music of this phone especially the background music and the background score and the sound effects are very suitable and nowhere it felt separated from the script and the screen. I feel that this is a success of the musicians at the artist who did the music for this film. Congratulations to Romil Sinha For making me feel good while watching this movie. I’m sure I will say that without music this film wouldn’t have created this much impact on me. in every necessary area the music covered it very well.

Now, the cinematography. The very first shot was of a girl standing and the frame shows her back. That is fine, the color of the film clearly gives an idea that it could be a movie scene or cinema-style shots. But I was a bit disappointed with the first frame itself. As we can see the frame is hiding her head a little bit. It was not fully visible. I don’t feel it is the correct frame. It should be a closed one or it should be on the correct cover in the head. But the frame was not handled by mistake it seems. Again, I was disappointed in the frame within the car. But the visuals and the direction and angles are impressive, and it will surely be a treat for the audience. during the movie and during the climax but the visuals are very interesting and satisfying its need. When I saw the first frame I was consciously watching throughout the film where the cinematographer made another same frameset or not. but nowhere I was disappointed except the first part. During the climax, the cinematography is very impressive. the DI on the cinematography complemented with each other.

Every artist who worked in Woh Khaas Hindi Short Film did their good job and gives 100% it seems. but few areas I don’t think it suited for the film context. the Story was good though it is a concept with love, the content traveled throughout the Story was unique and interesting. I felt the artist did overact in so many areas, but it is not clearly visible while watching the film when we think it is coming to mind. and the scene where the female protagonist threw the bag on the male protagonist inside the car was very filmy and quite artificial. but after that when the female protagonist sat near the male protagonist it felt like they both were adjusting for the camera frame and not for the Story’s sake. We cannot question how a stranger can sit near another stranger because it is a movie and it is what the female protagonist character is. but few characters’ details are still fishy when watching the film. I felt that the female protagonist and the male protagonists are doing overacting and controlling their flow of acting. they’re controlling their actions to make the character stay inside them and it felt like there not enough understood the character’s own details enough. if the director asked me whether the protagonist suits the Story I would say NO. I love the character of female protagonists and the acting but the male protagonist is not enough complimenting to the female protagonist because the specs are not complimenting for the male protagonist. in so many areas the specs made reflection an as audience I cannot see is I moment which is very important in screen to understand the feelings and emotions of the artist.

When we have anything to say or anything to complain about, we can remember a few things but if there is nothing to complain about or nothing to feel awkward about, we don’t remember the thing in our mind. Likewise, the editing of this film was very good and outstanding. It felt like a feature film’s edit. Every cut and transition is interesting and admirable. Congratulations to the editor who is also the director of this film Ankit Bhardwaj.

The song in between was good. Congrats to the singer Ady Manral. The voice suited very well.

The concept was interesting: The two strangers meeting inside a car and spending a whole day without knowing each other and at the end they fall in love with each other hugging, kissing, and living without a trace. The main element is the letter which the female protagonist gave today male protagonist. that twist is very interesting that I have never thought it could be the turning point of the Story. The twist was very outstanding, and the climax dialogue complemented the screen very well. Here I had a little confused because the female protagonist says that she will miss him and she was waiting for him, while the male protagonist says to his assistant to carry on the meeting and don’t cancel the flight. He knows that she loves him but still he refuses to search for her on the screen itself. After that, a transition and the screen display the content will help him to find his love. I felt a little disturbed to connect these two things. I would have agreed, or I would have enjoyed it if in the climax the male protagonists have said anything like he will find her, or he has an important job to find someone like that. Also, the assistant of the male protagonist keeps on asking something which no one can predict by saying. I felt that area was an artificial element, but it is good that the film ended with a twist. congratulations to the actors Agam Anand and Sambhavi singh. Another important element, I must appreciate is the character of the cab driver Subodhji. his acting was very natural and compatible with the script on the screen. I don’t think the screen would’ve filled if RJ Chokha hadn’t done his part. Sure the film is “That special” This film had its own uniqueness and sure it gives me a visual treat and left a trace within me. if you ask me to rate this film,
