Netflix on Thursday(May 6, 2021) released a teaser of Stranger things season 4 of its hit series. Going by the video, it looks like the upcoming season will focus more on Eleven’s backstory. “Stranger Things Season Web Series” fans of the sci-fi series have come up with numerous theories to predict season 4.

  1. Hopper is alive, trapped in the nether. We will follow his efforts to attempt to contact Eleven (Hop doesn’t know she lost her powers)
  2. Eleven will be faced with a struggle to reclaim her powers (likely motivated by finding out Hopper is alive). This might require he to track down Kali, whose powees might help her do this.
  3. The American the Russians have will turn out to be Brenner. He will be the one that told the Russians what happened in Hawkins and will be involved in catalyzing season 4.
  4. If S4 is truly the final season, we will need a plot arc that closes things. It will therefore require dealing with the mindflayer permanently.
  5. Just speculation, but its possible the show will introduce a Russian controlled foil to Eleven — someone with comparable powers. Season 4 still has to somehow raise the stakes and Eleven is always the nexus one around which the whole plot revolves. They will have to fight, but then ultimately team up to stop the mindflayer.

The 1-minute teaser takes us to the corridors of Hawkins National Laboratory. It begins with giving audience a glimpse of children with special abilities. At the end of the teaser, the camera pans and stops at a door with the number 11 on it, and Brenner is heard asking, “Are you listening, Eleven?“

When is stranger things season 4 coming out? – No one have answer now. Interestingly, the creator and makers haven’t announced the release date of the series in its above teaser.

A handful of reactions speculated that Stranger Things Season 4 will be about the creation of Mind Flyer while another assumed that it will narrate the back story of the lab. On the other hand, fans theorised that the upcoming season will drop a major plot twist.
