Reasons Why We Celebrate Ram Navami:

Ram Navami, Celebrates the birth of the seventh avatar of Lord Vishnu, Lord Rama. This day is marked with Rath-yatras or Kalyanotsavams of god Ram with special importance in the cities associated with Ramayana Legend like Ayodhya, Rameshwaram, Badrachalam, and Sitamarhi.

Mythology has always been and will continue to be one of the most favored genres in the film industry.On this auspicious day, we take a moment to appreciate the films that have featured the story of Ramayan.

Sampoorna Ramayan (1961)

           Directed by Babubhai Mistri, this epic narration managed to garner much attention owing to its costume designing. This film featured the complete story penned by Valmiki right from the birth of Rama to the killing of Ravana.

The Legend of Prince Rama (1992)

              The first film to present the story of Ram in animated form. It was animated and directed by Japanese professionals. In one word, the film was truly amazing and inspirational to many others that followed.Believe it or not, box office hits at Hollywood have adopted many elements from the film.  Hanuman (2005)

          Hanuman is the first full length animated version of Ramayan. Retelling the story from the point of view of Hanuman has helped the film achieve success. This movie is credited to have pushed many more animated films in the mythological genre.

Ramayana – The epic (2010)

        Produced by Ketan Mehta, it is the first 3D animated version of the story of Ram which had Manoj Bajpayee and Juhi Chawla voicing for Ram and Sita while Ashutosh Rana as the voice of Raavan.

Ramayan (1986)

            It is the first mythological series to feature on the small screen in Doordarshan. Throughout the two years of its run, it gained immense popularity. Actors Arun Govil and Dara Singh are still remembered for their portrayal of the characters as Lord Ram and Hanuman respectively. These are reasons that why we celebrate Ram Navami.
