In association with Public Television Service, the supernatural horror, drama, and thriller television series Detention is currently available on Netflix. The video game “Detention” is created by Red Candle Games and served as the inspiration for this television programme. Chuang Shiang, the director of the eight-part series “Quarantini,” is a genius. One new episode of the programme debuted on December 5, 2020, and new episodes are released every Saturday after that.

Detention Plot:
This politically charged horror series is based on a video game that takes place in Taiwan during the “White Terror” era of martial law. Detention creates a maze of unfathomable oppressions by entwining the suffocating and heart-stopping circumstances of their local deities.
The series opens at Greenwood High School in 1992. A transfer student Yunxiang Liu accidentally enters a restricted area of the school where she runs into Ruixin Fang’s ghost. The story continues with how a number of students and instructors were persecuted as they struggled for freedom in the era of censorship, as revealed later by Ruixin Fang, who also uncovers the school’s hidden history over the previous 30 years. In anticipation of being told and unmasked, their tales keep returning to the school like terrifying dreams.

Appreciation and Critics of Detention:
The show was fantastic! and I observed it with great curiosity. I was completely engrossed in the storyline and the excellent acting. As a viewer, I completely fell in love with this show and binge-watched it all in one day. This show has taken so many turns that we’re not sure what’s going to happen next. Anyone could start crying since the end was so heartfelt and moving. ‘We must confront our difficulties head-on and not try to dodge them.’ That is the lesson we should take away from this performance. And don’t be afraid to ask for assistance if you need it, because nobody is alone.
