Adoor Gopalakrishnan is an Indian filmmaker, screenwriter, and producer. He is regarded as one of India’s most notable and well-known directors. Gopalakrishnan helped launch a new movement in Malayalam cinema during the 1970s with the release of his first major motion picture, Swayamvaram (1972).

However, Adoor recently made a statement against the National Film Awards jury members by calling them “Bollywood Fans”. According to media sources, He claimed that choosing the winners has turned into a lame joke. Additionally, he stated that the jury was unaware of the selection procedures and that while excellent films were being ignored, commercial masala potboilers were receiving the awards.
