Subhash Ghai stated in an interview that the distributors had recommended he cast Salman Khan in Pardes in addition to SRK. Ghai rejected Salman’s casting because he wanted someone more fashionable.
The failure of his previous picture put a lot of strain on him. To give the movie a tremendous boost, the distributors urged him to cast Madhuri and Salman opposite Shahrukh. But he flatly declined, believing that Madhuri and Salman would not have been able to do my characters.
Salman Khan, on the other hand, spoke about his dispute with Ghai in an interview, saying, “I’ve never defeated Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, sorry.
