It was made by DVV Entertainment. Two real-life Indian revolutionaries, Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem, and their struggle against the British are the subject of the fictitious story RRR.

The story of the film centers on the period of 1920s, when both rebels decided to live quiet lives before joining the war for their nation. N. T. Rama Rao Jr., Ram Charan, Alia Bhatt, Shriya Saran, Samuthirakani, Ray Stevenson, Alison Doody, and Olivia Morris are among the actors who appear in the movie.
