At MTV’s VMA 2022, the well-known Hollywood actor Johnny Depp made an appearance as a projection of “The Moon Man,” the channel’s legendary mascot. It symbolizes the actor’s most recent public appearance since his triumph in the multi-million dollar case against his ex-wife Amber Heard.

Throughout the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards ceremony, Johnny Depp made a number of unexpected cameos. In a brief cameo, the actor made an appearance with his face digitally added to the helmet of a floating Moon Man (the channel’s well-known mascot).
Johnny gave one-liners in between commercials while projected above the stage. He said as the yearly ceremony began, “I needed the employment. The Italian painter and sculptor Amedeo Modigliani will be the subject of Depp’s first feature film in 25 years, which will be produced by Modi.

After declaring victory in the court case in Fairfax County, Virginia, earlier this year, Depp made the statement a week after confirming his first leading role: playing King Louis XV in the French movie Jeanne Du Barry.
In 2015, Joe Perry from Aerosmith and Alice Cooper founded the band Hollywood Vampires with Johnny. Depp and musician Jeff Beck performed together on multiple occasions in the UK at venues in London, Newcastle, and Glasgow as they awaited the outcome of the trial. In July, they even put out an album together.
