Brian Cox is Helm Hammerhand

Brian Cox lends a commanding presence to the role of Helm Hammerhand, the legendary leader of the Rohirrim. As the ninth monarch in a line that has ruled over the war-torn land for 249 years, King Hammerhand is motivated by a desire to avenge the death of his sons. Turning to his nephew for assistance, he seeks to protect his people and defend Rohirrim. In the face of an invasion by the Dunlendings, Hammerhand takes refuge in Hornburg for a year, awaiting reinforcements.

A highly regarded Scottish actor, Cox recently delivered a powerful performance as CEO Logan Roy in HBO’s popular drama, Succession, earning three Primetime Emmy nominations.
