The Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom trailer hints at Black Manta taking on the role of the primary antagonist as he seeks vengeance against Arthur Curry. According to the official synopsis, Aquaman will turn to his incarcerated brother, Orm, to join forces in order to thwart Black Manta and safeguard his kingdom and loved ones from imminent devastation. James Wan, the director, faces the daunting task of meeting the high expectations set by the first Aquaman film, which raked in more than $1 billion in box office revenue.

The upcoming release of “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom” is drawing near, with Jason Momoa reprising his role and James Wan directing the sequel set to premiere in December. After much anticipation from DC fans, the first complete trailer for the film has been unveiled. Directed by James Wan once more, this sequel marks a highly anticipated moment for fans, as it may potentially be Jason Momoa’s final appearance as the aquatic superhero. The official synopsis for “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom” describes how Black Manta, still motivated by his quest for vengeance after failing to defeat Aquaman previously, is now even more powerful with the mythic Black Trident. This ancient weapon unleashes a malevolent force. To stop Black Manta, Aquaman must seek help from his imprisoned brother Orm, the former King of Atlantis, forming an unlikely alliance. They must overcome their differences to safeguard their kingdom, save Aquaman’s family, and prevent irreversible destruction to the world.

Returning to their respective roles from the 2018 film “Aquaman,” we’ll see Jason Momoa, Patrick Wilson as Curry’s brother and former King Orm, Amber Heard as Mera, Nicole Kidman as Atlanna (Aquaman’s mother), Dolph Lundgren as King Nereus, and Randall Park as Dr. Stephen Shin. However, the most significant revelation from the highly anticipated trailer is the confirmation that Aquaman’s son will make an appearance in the sequel!

In the recent teaser for “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom,” it was revealed that Jason Momoa’s character, Arthur Curry/Aquaman, is now juggling his responsibilities as both the King of Atlantis and a new father. This confirms the earlier rumors about the existence of Arthur Curry Jr. Other returning cast members include Patrick Wilson as Orm, Aquaman’s half-brother and former nemesis who now becomes his reluctant ally, Amber Heard as Mera, the Queen of Atlantis and the mother of the heir to the throne, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, who is more determined than ever to avenge his father’s death by destroying Aquaman, his family, and Atlantis, Nicole Kidman as Atlanna, a strong leader and mother with a warrior’s spirit, as well as Dolph Lundgren as King Nereus and Randall Park as Dr. Stephen Shin.
