Deekay wrote and directed the Tamil horror-comedy movie Kaatteri. In order to create a horror comedy experience that features naive protagonists, a mishmash cast of funny characters, and a plethora of ghosts, the director in this film transposes the setup from his debut film, “Yaamirukka Bayamey.” S. N. Prasad wrote the score for the background music. It is made by K. E. Gnanavel Raja under the Studio Green production label. The movie was presented in theaters on August 5, 2022.

Kaatteri Movie Plot:
The main characters of Kaatteri are amateur criminals who have incurred the wrath of their ruthless gangster lord. They decide to travel there with a psychiatrist whom their boss had sent them to abduct and an unaware police officer after learning of a village that is home to treasure. However, when they arrive, they discover that the location is essentially deserted.

Following the film’s launch in Chennai, the main photography for the movie started around April 20, 2018. And in June 2008, the film’s production came to an end. The movie’s theatrical premiere was put off until August 5, 2022 because of the COVID-19 suspension.
Appreciation and Critics:
The performers are in pretty good, and there are a few jokes and fewer scary elements, but they don’t feel like enough. The handling of its female characters, who are frequently objectified, is the most significant letdown. This is where the movie feels the most dated — we see too many instances of male actors lusting attention, and invading the personal space of the female characters in the name of humour.
