Band Bhaja Bharath
A romantic comedy movie by Maneesh Sharma featuring Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma in the lead roles describes the life of young entrepreneurs. Shruthi and Bitto are two young entrepreneurs who had to join hands to start a wedding planning enterprise. The story has a lot to tell but the natural response to the emotions is the best part of the movie. The soundtrack is even amazing, Salim -Sulaiman has beaten the best of it. The plot gets a twist when the two partners fall in love that in turn puts their business endangered.
Abhinay Deo, the director of this film has made a positive approach by delivering a different story, not like other Bollywood films. The flawless performance by the lead roles- Imran Khan, Vir Das, and Kunal Roy Kapoor has rendered the movie hilarious. The life of three flatmates turns upside down when they mistakenly swap the diamond with one of their poop samples. They ultimately became the gangsters’ target and started to run for life. The twist still pertains when fate gets a good lift toward the three flat mates.
Gangs of Wasseypur
Gangs of Wasseypur is a crime film taken in two parts to enhance a better view of the audience. The story works on the association of coal mines and also on the power struggles, politics, and vengeance. Part one is more power-packed and entertaining than part two. Moreover, the director Anurag Kashyap has sensed the plot from the real story of rivals Shafi Khan and Surya Dev Singh. With Manoj Bajpayee, Richa Chadha, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Tigmanshu Dhulia the story adds extra credits.
The Lunch Box
The epic romantic film “Lunch Box’ is directed by Ritesh Batra, featuring Nimrat Kaur and Irrfan Khan. The life of a housewife and a lonely widower turns into an unusual friendship due to the mistake of the carrier service. The film has an extraordinary climax, which is, in turn, a perfect ending to the story. On the whole, the movie cannot be neglected from being watched.
An excellent story by Vikas Bhal portrays the life of a young girl named Rani when she has to overcome the feelings from her post-break-up. Kangana Ranaut has made us roll head over heels by choosing to explore her pre-planned honeymoon by herself. She rediscovers herself as she finds many personalities in her life. She forgoes the conservative life, in which she was actually grown up to a comfort free zone and finds her niche and efficiency in the society.
Piku wonderfully portrays the relationship between a daughter and a father. Amitabh Bachchan plays the role of the father of Deepika Padukone. Piku basically grew up in Kolkata and is settled in Delhi. The film beautifully portrays a journey to Kolkata from Delhi and their family issues. This wonderful family drama is worth watching.

Dangal is the story of how two wrestlers, trained by their father from childhood to achieve their dad’s dream of winning a gold for their country at an international sports event. Amir Khan has the role of father as well as the coach of the two daughters. Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra play the roles of the two daughters. The film has an engaging screenplay and the efforts put in shaping such a film together demand a huge appreciation. One of the highest-grossing films, both in India as well as China, the movie is a must-watch. Produced under Aamir Khan’s own banner, the film speaks so high of wrestling.
Dark Comedy films are difficult to write and to portray your point of view to the audience group. Newton is one such film, co-written and directed by Amit V. Masurkar is one of the biggest hits of 2017. The story revolves around a government servant who is sent to a politically insensitive area for election duty. The hero attempts to hold a fair and unbiased election. The film became a universally acclaimed one after being nominated in 8 categories in the 63rd film fare festival.
Periodic horror films have their own set of audiences. Tumbbad, created by Anand Gandhi is one such movie. A family builds a shrine for Hastar, a monster who is never worshipped and they attempt to get hands of his cursed wealth, for which they face their consequences. Released in 2018, this will be a thrilling ride for all the fantasy/horror movie lovers.
The story is about the life of a boy named Murrad in his early 20’s, who describes his view on social issues and also about the life in Dharavi with his rapping. The story takes a turn when he meets a local-rapper Shrikant alias, MC Sher. Zoya Akthar, the director of the movie has done complete justice to the movie.
