Shefali Shah is an Indian actress who appears in Bollywood movies and TV shows. She had a supporting role in the crime movie Satya after making her acting debut in the 1995 drama Rangeela. She has won a National Film Award, two Filmfare Awards, and two Screen Awards, among other honours. She just rose to the status of a TV series wallflower by playing an epic role in the Netflix original series “Delhi Crime.”

In 2019, Shefali was cast as Vartika Chaturvedi in the Netflix crime-thriller series “Delhi Crime.” A terrible gang rape was committed in Delhi, and Vartika, a Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), has been tasked with looking into it. Following “Once Again in 2018,” an Indo-German love comedy, this is her second Netflix collaboration. The 2012 Delhi gang rape that served as the inspiration for the show’s plot was scripted and directed by Richie Mehta.
The actress has expressed her pride in playing DCP Vartika Chaturvedi in the television series “Delhi Crime.” She continued by saying that while she loved every role she had ever played, DCP Vartika Chaturvedi will always hold a special place in her heart. It’s satisfying for me as an actress to play characters like DCP Vartika Chaturvedi.
However, as a main cast member, she was brought back when the show was revived for a second season. The actress remarked, “This season, viewers will witness the frail and human side of these seasoned police officers. I can confidently state that “Delhi Crime” is a reflection of our love of storytelling, and we are eager for the public to watch it. On August 8, 2022, the official trailer for Season 2 of Delhi Crime was made available.
