Disney+ is gearing up to launch several new TV series on their platform next month. The spooky season is quickly approaching, and folks are already adorning their front yards with eerie decor for Halloween. Grocery store shelves are stocked with bulk candy for trick-or-treaters, while leaves are beginning to transition and fall from trees. Additionally, pumpkin spice beverages and treats are ubiquitous. What could be a more fitting way to kick off the season of changing weather than by indulging in new TV shows available for streaming?
Fans of Marvel and Tom Hiddleston have reason to rejoice as the second season of a popular Disney+ original series is on the horizon. Additionally, a revival of a beloved but eerie book/TV series is set to debut shortly after the Marvel show. Towards the end of October, viewers can also look forward to the fourth season of an adorable yet frenzied animated series. Here’s a rundown of everything coming to Disney+ in October 2023.
Every TV Series Coming to Disney+ in October 2023
Loki – Season 2, Episode 1 (October 6)
Loki fans have eagerly awaited season 2, anticipating the return of various Loki variants, including Sylvie, in the wake of the first season’s events. The multiverse has been undergoing significant changes, connecting not just within the MCU but also with the Spider-Verse. Familiar characters like Kang the Conqueror, played by Jonathan Majors, are making a comeback. Loki encounters a glitch phenomenon akin to Ghost from Ant-Man and the Wasp, stretching his body uncontrollably. A new character named OB reveals Loki is “time slipping,” causing time itself to unravel. Loki must wield his powers to repair the fractured timeline.

Goosebumps (October 13)
R. L. Stine’s iconic Goosebumps franchise, renowned for its spine-chilling tales, boasts over 200 titles since its inception in 1992. Beloved stories like The Haunted Mask and Night of the Living Dummy were adapted into a late ’90s anthology series. Stine also penned spin-offs like Goosebumps: Slappyworld and Fear Street. Jack Black portrayed Stine in the 2015 and 2018 film adaptations. Now, in 2023, Disney+ is set to launch a five-episode premiere of a Goosebumps TV series, following a group of high schoolers who unwittingly unleash supernatural forces in their hometown, forcing them to unite and uncover long-buried family secrets.
Big City Greens (October 25)
Big City Greens kicks off its fourth season on Disney Channel on September 23 before streaming new episodes on Disney+ starting October 25. The series follows Cricket Green, a 10-year-old country boy who relocates to the city with his family, leading them into adventurous escapades fueled by his boundless curiosity. With endearing antics, Cricket wins over his neighbors, and fans can anticipate exciting guest voices similar to Wiz Khalifa’s appearance in 2022.
Disney+ has a family-friendly October lineup, not focusing on horror. Nonetheless, it’s a promising roster that’s likely to attract viewers. The highly anticipated second season of Loki, the most-streamed Marvel Disney+ series, is a standout. Excitement surrounds the Goosebumps show and its potential to honor R. L. Stine’s legacy and introduce the franchise to a new generation. The hope is that it won’t be a reboot disappointment.
