The upcoming Indian mythological movie Adipurush is based on the Ramayana. Om Raut is the director, and T-Series Films and Retrophiles are the producers. The movie, starring Prabhas as Raghava, Kriti Sanon as Janaki, and Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh, was simultaneously shot in Hindi and Telugu. Adipurush is one of the most costly Indian movies ever made, with a $500 crore budget.

Adipurush Movie Plot
Hindu mythology, as seen in the book “Ramayan,” served as the inspiration for the film. The plot occurs 7000 years ago. In order to save his bride Janaki, which Lankesh, the king of Lanka, has kidnapped, Raghava, the king of Ayodhya, journeys to the island of Lanka.

Adipurush Concept Teaser:
A promotional poster published on August 18, 2020 announced the release of the Ramayana adaption Adipurush. Om Raut, who previously directed the historical action movie Tanhaji, directs Prabhas in the role of Lord Rama (2020). Om Raut was inspired to modernise the Ramayana after watching the 1996 Japanese movie Ramayana: The Legend of Prince Rama. project.
Filming mostly took place in Mumbai from February 2021 through November 2021 for the main production. The theatrical debut of Adipurush is slated for January 12, 2023.
